Navigating Life's Challenges

Registration for Contemplative Photography

This workshop introduces participants to the practice of contemplative photography, an approach rooted in mindfulness and intentional seeing. We’ll begin by gathering as a group to learn the foundational principles of this practice and get to know one another. Then, participants will head outside (rain or shine) to explore independently, using photography to become fully present in the moment and awaken to the beauty in ordinary things.

We’ll regroup to reflect on the experience and explore how contemplative photography can be used as a tool for cultivating mindfulness in daily life. By learning to pause, observe, and engage the senses, this practice can gently support mental well-being—offering a pathway to greater calm, clarity, and emotional resilience.

No photography experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and any camera or smartphone.

This workshop is designed for ages 13+ and is hosted and sponsored by professional photographer Christopher David, and psychologist, Gina Pasquale, the Executive Director of Maps Counseling.
