Spirituality in Therapy by Lucinda Nightingale, LMFT held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 9am-11am ET via Zoom.
Course Description: Participants will be provided rationale and tools for introducing spirituality into therapeutic practice.
The course objectives are:
1. Deepen appreciation for the role spiritual exploration plays in therapy.
a. Explore definition of spirituality vs. religion.
b. Provide examples of how people express their spirituality.
c. Provide resources for assessment and exploration.
2. Explore relationship between attachment and spirituality.
a. Understand influence attachment styles have on the therapy process
b. Explain how using a spiritual lens enables clients to understand others in their lives.
c. Provide examples and invite discussion.
Lucinda Nightingale, LMFT, Senior Clinician at Maps Counseling Services works with people across the lifespan using spirituality as a method for bringing about second level change. Lucinda has been a member of the faculty at Solihten Institute teaching Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy courses across the nation.
